studio session: Volkhovener Weg

Public transit areas as a stage – this is the core of our investigation, both acoustically and visually. mæro develops musical performances in public places of passage. In doing so, the acoustics of the urban space are taken up, transformed with the interplay and the boundary is blurred: between rehearsal and performance, passers-by and audience, everyday life and art. In the immersion, the soundscape of the surroundings mixes with the improvisation game. Passers-by and events in the public space become acoustic participants. By alternating between stage and urban space, the concert becomes a concert installation that intervenes in the urban space and can be entered at any time.
